Apple has started reselling used 4gb or 8gb iPhones. These iPhones, which were either returned or brought in for repair, are priced at $100 less than a new iPhone and they come with a 1 year limited warranty.
Apple is also offering the AppleCare programme, extending the repair coverage on the combination mobile phone, media player and web browser to two years. This costs $69 for the two year period.
A new iPhone will set you back $499 or $599 depending on whether you get the 4gb or 8gb model. The refurbished handests will cost either $399 or $499 again depending on whether you get the 4gb or 8gb model.
