A student at New York University has invented a new and seasonally useful gadget.
Andrew Schneider came up with the idea of a ‘Solar Bikini’ that charges up your mp3 player and lets you get the perfect tan all at the same time.
The ‘Solar Bikini’ has one-inch by four-inch photovoltaic film strips sewn into a normal bikini with the cells terminating in a five volt regulator that ends in a female USB connector. This means that just about any mp3 player or iPod can be plugged in and kept topped up while you sunbathe.
Schneider is also working on a larger version for gents that will have the functionality to cool a single beer in a custom holder.
As long as you don’t get the suits wet you’ll be charging and cooling all summer!
