New App: The Collection

Ringier, a leading Swiss media company has launched a new global app for iPad and other tablet devices. It includes internationally relevant news content and a highly intuitive User-Navigation system.

The new app is called the Collection and will be a monthly “appazine” exploring globally relevant topics which should excite and challenge top-tier audiences. It will be the first app of it’s kind to be published simultaneously in English, German and Chinese.

It will use ground-breaking innovation in highly inter-active design which will ensure a uniquely compelling and entertaining user experience like you have not seen before. Besides first-class articles, audio, photos and videos, inter-active elements will include panoramic photography, 3D digital animation, creative morphing, rubbing, X-Ray lens and much much more.

The iPad application is free to download, then each article will cost a small fee, the first issue looks at Prince William and Britain’s Royal family. The collection provides a close look at Prince William, the dashing son of the iconic late Princess Diana, it also takes an in-depth look at the Windsor’s, the vast amount of land they own and the debate on who should become the next king of Great Britain.

The app is packed with interactive features, you can play around with the Crown Jewels, and learn about the life of a royal photographer. They can also see that the blue-blooded prince faces some of the same problems of ordinary people—like a fast-growing bald patch.

This new app offers tablet users a new and unique way of getting content. The app has a wow factor and it utilises the powers of devices like the iPad.
