According to a report in the Financial Times, Apple has signed its first deals with 3 mobile phone operators who will carry the iPhone.
After a period of intense negotiations, 3 operators have signed exclusive deals to sell the iPhone in their respective markets. The 3 companies are:
- In Germany, T-Mobile Deutschland GmbH
- In France, Orange SA
- In Britain, O2 (UK) Ltd
The Financial Times reported that the operators have agreed to give apple 10% of the revenue generated from iPhone sales. Apple is planning to oficially announce the deal at the IFA international consumer electronics exhibition next week in Berlin.
The operators hope to introduce the phone just in time for Christmas which will boost their sales massively.
