The UKs first Apple store outside of England will open in Glasgow city centre this Saturday (25th August). The Apple store will be in the listed building that used to house Pier, on Buchanan Street.
To celebrate the grand opening they are featuring a sweepstake and a variety of presentations, demonstrations and workshops, all of which are free of charge. The wimmer of the sweepstake will receive a Digital Lifestyle Collection that includes a 13-inch black MacBook and a silver 4gb iPod nano.
The first 1,500 people through the doors on Saturday will receive a free Apple T-shirt.
There are also a few special events including a series of Live from Glasgow concerts, the first of which features The Dykeenies on Tuesday the 28th of August at 8pm.
Shoppers can ‘test-drive’ new products and get advice and technical support for their Macs or iPods.
Fans have camped out before store openings around the world so you’ll need to get there early if you want one of those free t-shirts…
